Have coins valued or sold

That depends on the rarity, condition, provenance and metal. Sometimes we can give an initial indication based on photographs, but we often prefer to examine the coins in person. That initial valuation is always free of charge and without obligation.

Please send photos by email or make an appointment at our office in Ghent. Do you need a written valuation, for example for insurance purposes or an inheritance? Please feel free to ask us about the options available.

Please bring everything as it is. Do not clean or sort the coins, as cleaning them may reduce their value. We’ll help you make an inventory and give you an honest assessment of what the coins are worth.

No. We assess on a coin-by-coin basis what is best for you: selling directly to Numis, auctioning with us, or through an international auction house. Sometimes a direct sale yields a higher price than an auction, and we’ll let you know if that’s the case.

Yes. You will receive an offer, free of charge and with no obligation. It is up to you to decide whether to accept it.

The commission is calculated on a case-by-case basis: it depends on the number of coins, their rarity and their condition. You will receive a written quote in advance, before you make any decision. If a coin is not sold, you pay nothing.

For our spring auction on 29 January 2027.
